LECOM

Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) has developed a medical facility on EC's campus.

The first Elmira-based medical students started July 2020. Early Acceptance Programs offered include 3+4 or 4+4 tracks with Medical and Pharmacy programs and a 4+4 Dental program. There's also an Early Admittance Program (EAP) for high school students. Typical qualifications are a high school GPA of 3.5 (90) or higher on a 4.0 scale and an ACT score of at least 26 or an SAT composite of at least 1240. LECOM does not superscore.

Apply while at EC anytime during your freshman or sophomore year.

Elmira College students already enjoy reserved, early acceptance spots at LECOM sites for those who meet the LECOM acceptance requirements. The addition of LECOM at Elmira College will expand the number of reserved medical spots for EC students to 25, the number of reserved pharmacy spots to 20, and the number of reserved dentistry spots to 5. Early Acceptance Programs offered, include:

Medical Programs:

  • 3+4 Track – Upon completing three years of undergraduate study and meeting certain GPA and other requirements, you'll enter LECOM the following July. LECOM graduates receive a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree. The undergraduate school may award you a bachelor degree by utilizing credits from the courses taken while at LECOM.
  • 4+4 Track – Upon completing four years of undergraduate study and meeting certain GPA and other requirements, you can enter LECOM the following July. LECOM graduates receive a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.

Pharmacy Programs:

  • 3+ Track – Upon submitting a PharmCas application, completing three years of undergraduate study and meeting certain GPA and other requirements, you'll enter LECOM the following August. LECOM graduates receive a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) degree. The undergraduate school may award the you a bachelor degree by utilizing credits from the courses taken while at LECOM.
  • 4+ Track – Upon submitting a PharmCas application, completing four years of undergraduate study, and meeting certain GPA and other requirements, you'll enter LECOM the following August. LECOM graduates receive a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) degree.

Dental Programs:

  • 4+4 Track – Upon submitting an AADSAS application, completing four years of undergraduate study, taking the DAT, and successfully meeting certain GPA and other requirements, you will enter LECOM’s School of Dental Medicine the following July. LECOM graduates receive a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree.
