Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine
If you want to get a head start on your future in health care, Elmira offers an Early Acceptance Program (EAP) partnership with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM). You can apply for, interview for, and secure acceptance to medical school during high school or your first two years at Elmira if you meet the admission criteria. Among the benefits of getting accepted into our EAP program is not having to search for a medical school or take the MCAT. And since LECOM’s Elmira campus is located on our campus, the transition to your graduate studies is seamless.

Elmira provides two options for earning your degree in osteopathic medicine. There is an accelerated six-year degree BS/DO Program (2+4) and a traditional BS/DO Program (4+4). Visit our BS/DO page for details about the different tracks and application information.

Our pharmacy degrees have two options. Pharmacy 3+ Track allows you to complete your undergraduate degree in three years at Elmira and your Doctor of Pharmacy in four years at LECOM. Pharmacy 4+ Track allows you to complete your undergraduate degree in the normal four years at Elmira and your Doctor of Pharmacy in four years at LECOM.

For the Dental 4+4 Track, you’ll earn your undergraduate degree in the normal four years at Elmira and complete your Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at LECOM.

Podiatrists are specialists focused on treating feet and ankles, from diabetic wound care to orthopedics to sports injuries. As a profession, podiatrists enjoy a greater amount of work-life balance. Our program offers three track options: a 2+4, 3+4, and 4+4.
For more details about these three different health specialties and their track options, see “Chart Your Path to Your Medical Program” below.
Dentistry Specialty
For the Dental 4+4 track, you’ll complete your undergraduate degree at EC in the normal four years. Provided you maintain the required GPA, achieve a passing score on the Dental Admission Test (DAT), and complete other requirements, you’ll enter LECOM’s Dental program in July following your EC graduation. You’ll complete your Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) work in four years at LECOM.
