Biochemistry majors are encouraged to travel abroad during Term III to experience a different culture without disrupting their major.
Science-focused trips include studying marine and island ecology in the Bahamas, Alaskan ecology and environmental issues in Alaska, and field biology in Hawaii.
Tri-Beta is the National Biology Honor Society dedicated to supporting students in their research endeavors in the biological sciences. Elmira College students present the results of their research at regional and national conferences. Elmira College has also hosted the regional conference where students present talks and posters detailing their research findings.
