The Biochemistry program fosters an aptitude for curiosity and nurtures your desire to explore the molecular processes of life.
You'll design experiments to test hypotheses, collect data with state-of-the-art instrumentation, and communicate through oral and written work the results of your experiments. You can engage in faculty research as early as your freshman year and have the opportunity and flexibility to study abroad during Term III.
With a biochemistry major, you'll be prepared to pursue further graduate study in biochemistry, public health, exercise science, health professions-related education, or begin a professional career. Many of our alumni with a Biochemistry degree have gone on to pursue medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, and pharmaceutical degrees.
