Explore the processes that make up living organisms through our Biochemistry degree program.
The Biochemistry degree program fosters an aptitude for curiosity and nurtures your desire to explore the molecular processes of life.
Through pursuing a Biochemistry degree, you'll design experiments to test hypotheses, collect data with state-of-the-art instrumentation, and communicate through oral and written work the results of your experiments. You can engage in faculty research as early as your freshman year, and have the opportunity and flexibility to study abroad during Term III.
With a Biochemistry degree, you'll be prepared to pursue further graduate study in biochemistry, public health, exercise science, health professions-related education, or begin a professional career. Many of our alumni have gone on to pursue medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, and pharmaceutical degrees.
In this program, you'll become an independent thinker who understands the different fields of chemistry and biology and can apply modern techniques to solve problems.
You can help create the products that improve people's lives.
Biochemistry majors are encouraged to travel abroad during Term III to experience a different culture without disrupting their major.
Our faculty members help prepare Biochemistry students for a variety of fields.
