Our Master of Science in Education (MSEd) and Master of Science in Management (MSM) are offered online, with 8-week terms and multiple start dates. These flexible master degree programs allow you to work and go to school.
If you’re not ready to commit to a full master’s program, try earning one of our Graduate Certificates or take a course or two to test the waters. These credits can be applied toward a master’s degree later if you choose to extend your studies.

A Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) is the ideal choice if you already hold a baccalaureate or advanced degree and want to gain specialized subject-matter expertise without completing a full degree.
You’ll take five courses (15 credits), with the option to apply the credits to a master's degree at Elmira if you decide to continue your studies.

Yes, of course! Most of our graduate courses are offered in a flexible online format, allowing you to complete your coursework at times and in locations that work best for your schedule.
We have several different graduate degree, certificate, and non-degree course options for flexible online learning.
How do I know which graduate program is right for me?
A master’s degree program at Elmira College is ideal if you are seeking comprehensive graduate education, career advance, or a new professional direction.
Graduate certificates are suited for professionals who already hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree and want to develop advanced expertise in a focused area, with the option to lead into a master’s degree.

How do I apply for non-degree courses or graduate certificates?
Students taking graduate courses for a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study or a full master’s degree must complete our standard online graduate application.
Students taking graduate courses for non-degree study (non-matriculating) can contact our graduate advisor to get registered.

How much does graduate school at Elmira cost?
