Students pursuing Mathematics have obtained internships with many different employers in education and business.
Students pursuing the Mathematical Sciences option have obtained internships with potential future employers. Students pursuing the Education option complete student teaching to satisfy their internship.
You'll also have the opportunity to participate in a research experience at Elmira College to satisfy your internship.

The Abraham Shabanowitz Mathematics Prize was established by Professor Emeritus Harry Shabanowitz in memory of his father and is awarded to a graduating student showing outstanding achievement in the field of mathematics, holding an overall GPA of 3.00 or higher.
The Hypatia Mathematics Prize is awarded to a female junior who exhibits enthusiasm for mathematics and the desire to share that passion with others through education or other career endeavors. The goal of the prize is to recognize more women for their interest and competency in this important field of study.
Ph Mu Epsilon promotes mathematics while recognizing and supporting students in the field.
