Elmira College is a private liberal arts College located in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Elmira College was the first college to offer a comprehensive curriculum for women, and is home of the Center for Mark Twain Studies.
Elmira College seeks an outstanding individual to serve in the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Division in a part-time adjunct position. The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a master’s degree and have work experience in a STEM field or teaching experience in a STEM discipline. Experience with computer programming is required.
Current needs for the Winter 2026 term are for one section of CSC 1050 Introduction to Programming, a first course in computer programming. The programming language usually taught in this course is Python. This course is a foundational course in the Data Analytics Minor and the Adolescent Education: Earth and Environmental Science Major, as well as an elective in the Environmental Science Major and Environmental Science Minor at Elmira College.
Winter 2026 classes begin on January 5, 2026.
COMPENSATION: $900/credit
This position is non-benefit eligible.
