John Savash, Associate Professor of Accounting and Finance at Elmira College, was recently elected President-Elect of the Executive Board of the New York Government Finance Officers’ Association.
Savash has held a leadership position on the NYGFOA Executive Board since 2010.
During the recent 2024 NYGFOA conference in Albany, New York, Savash moderated a session called Politics in Budgeting-Negotiating the Waters.
NYGFOA is a professional organization supporting those who work in and support the field of government finance. The organization's goal is to provide members with the most valuable learning opportunities, up-to-date information, and networking resources.
