You have a couple of options when you pursue Accounting:
BS in Accounting – 150-Hour Licensure Qualification: New York State Registered Program. If you are seeking CPA licensure in New York State and other states that do not require a graduate degree for licensure.
BS in Accounting – 120-Hour Option: If you're planning an accounting career in private industry, government, or seeking CPA licensure after completion of a graduate program.
An Accounting degree can take you to many places as most industries and businesses rely on accountants to help make important business decisions. Some of our recent graduates have started their careers with KPMG, Ernst & Young, The Bonadio Group, and United Technologies Corporation. The Accounting program can also prepare you for graduate school in business or accounting if you wish to continue your education.
Students who complete the requirements will be able to support business operations, communicate effectively, apply generally accepted accounting principles, understand the regulatory environment on financial reporting, and convey knowledge of tax laws.
Through Accounting, you will play a key role in the financial success of businesses and organizations.
