You can join a respected business profession where you will be viewed as a trusted advisor who helps make business decisions. Our Accounting degree program is designed for those interested in going into an exciting career in public accounting, industry, or in government.
You’ll learn the fundamental and advanced principles of accounting as you prepare for a future in business, management, the non-profit sector, or government. Through our coursework, you’ll become familiar with key terminology and concepts as you learn about strategic financial planning, budgeting, collecting and analyzing financial data, and the crucial role accounting data plays in a business or organization. You can enhance your knowledge by pairing Accounting with a degree in Business Administration or Finance.
BS in Accounting – 150-Hour Licensure Qualification: New York State Registered Program. If you are seeking CPA licensure in New York State and other states that do not require a graduate degree for licensure.
BS in Accounting – 120-Hour Option: If you're planning an accounting career in private industry, government, or seeking CPA licensure after completion of a graduate program.
If you’re pursuing another field of study but are interested in Accounting, try a minor in Accounting. It pairs well with many other majors.
An Accounting degree can take you to many places as most industries and businesses rely on accountants to help make important business decisions. Some of our recent graduates have started their careers with KPMG, Ernst & Young, The Bonadio Group, and United Technologies Corporation. The Accounting program can also prepare you for graduate school in business or accounting if you wish to continue your education.
