Applications for the 2021-2022 Elmira College Scholars Program are due December 11. The EC scholarship program awards five full-tuition scholarships per year to first-year, full-time students.
In addition to the Application for Admission, eligible students should complete an Elmira College Scholars Video Essay. In the video submission, applicants are encouraged to explain the attributes they will bring to the Elmira College community. An Elmira Scholars committee will review the applications and select a group of finalists to interview. From the finalists, five students will be chosen as Elmira Scholars.
"This is an incredible scholarship opportunity for incoming EC students," said Dr. Jackie VanBrunt, EC dean of admissions. "This scholarship program recognizes students for their exceptional academics, extra-curricular activities, and well-roundedness."
Eligible applicants need to have a 3.9 GPA or a 3.7 GPA as well as 1300 SAT or 28 ACT composite. Current high school students interested in applying should complete the EC Application for Admission as well as the Elmira Scholars Video Essay through the EC Online Portal. All materials must be submitted by December 11.
Finalists will be notified by December 16. Those finalists who are not selected as an Elmira Scholar will be eligible for a $25,000 President's Award.
