Each year, Elmira College offers academic scholarships to students interested in joining our Soaring Eagle Family.
Students accepted for admission are automatically reviewed for a scholarship or award. Amounts range from $8,000 to $22,000 with five competitive, full-tuition scholarships available. Each student is awarded one academic scholarship or award. If a student qualifies for more than one academic scholarship or award, the scholarship of highest value will be awarded.
This competitive program will award five full-tuition scholarships per year to first-year, full-time undergraduate students. Eligible students will be required to complete an Elmira Scholars application, which will be reviewed by an EC committee of faculty and administrators. A select number of finalists will be invited to campus in February for an Elmira Scholars Program Day, which will include interviews and presentations to committee members. Five winners will be chosen and named Elmira Scholars.

The Elmira College Key Award, sponsored by the Elmira College Alumni Association, has been awarded to students since 1935. An award of merit, the Key Award is presented to outstanding students in their junior year of high school or preparatory school. Two students from each high school will be offered the Key Award.
A mission at Elmira College is to raise awareness about sustainable best practices and incorporate those practices into every aspect of the campus. We created the Sustainability Leaders initiative to give students a chance to lead in this mission. Each Sustainability Leader receives $1,000 toward their annual tuition.
