Elmira College comes with one of the lowest undergraduate tuition prices of any four-year private college or university in the region. And the value of an Elmira education stands the test of time.
Elmira's tuition is one of the lowest tuition rates amongst regional private colleges. We also offer students a variety of financial aid options, including scholarships, grants, and work-study. Nearly 100% of students receive some form of financial aid.
Students who matriculate as a full-time undergraduate student pay the full-time tuition rate ($36,152 plus a $1,780 comprehensive fee). Dependent part-time students will pay $1,004 per credit hour. First-year students and upperclassmen enrolling in more than 18 credit hours during fall or winter, or more than 7.5 credit hours for the Spring term, will be billed $1,004 per credit hour in addition to the full-time tuition rate. Full-time students wishing to transfer to part-time status may be considered for the part-time tuition rate (as referred to below) following an absence from campus of at least one full calendar year.
Independent students who first enter Elmira College as a part-time student pay the part-time tuition rate (currently $482 per credit hour). Part-time status is defined as enrolling in fewer than nine credits during a fall or winter term or less than four credits during Term III. Part-time students who enroll in nine credits during a fall or winter term or four or more credits during Term III will be charged the full-time tuition as detailed above.
**A comprehensive fee of $1,780 per year ($890 per term for fall and winter) provides direct underwriting for technology and general academic and student support. These services are provided to all students and are essential elements of an education at Elmira College.**
Elmira College is a residential campus. The exception to living on campus is any undergraduate student who lives with a legal guardian within 30 miles, is 25 years of age or older, or is married or living with biological children.
