Dr. Mariam Khawar brings three decades of experience teaching in higher education.

She is also a researcher with a focus on development economics who has published a book exploring the connection between geography, culture, institutions, and economic growth. She enjoys connecting students with the principles of economics for the first time and teaching upper-level electives where she can combine her own interests in development economics with those of her students.
