Elmira College is a private campus. News media, outside photographers, and videographers must contact the Office of Communications & Marketing prior to arriving on campus.
The Office of Communications and Marketing works collaboratively with news media to share College news, faculty and student achievements, programs, events, and other pertinent information. The Office is also available to help news media find campus topic experts to aid in the development of news stories.
Elmira College is a private campus, and news media must be invited or gain permission prior to coming onto the EC campus. OCM will then notify Campus Safety and provide information on the most convenient parking. For event coverage, the Office will provide specific media coverage instructions and media check-in information/media pass.
For the safety and privacy of students, photography or videography is expressly prohibited in residence halls and classrooms. The OCM may assist reporters, photographers, and videographers in obtaining story footage, file photos, and interviews, but advance arrangements must be made.
