Elmira College's IT department can help with computer purchases and other hardware and software needs.
If you plan to buy a new laptop for the Fall semester, we recommend making the purchase no earlier than May. Waiting until June or July is ideal because computer performance-price ratios increase with time. Plus, ordering the computer before August ensures that it arrives in time for the start of the academic year.
