Finance & Administration

The Office of Finance & Administration is tasked with ensuring the proper treatment and handling of the finances for Elmira College. Our primary mission is to provide sound budgeting in order to reach our goals and provide our students the best possible experience.

Finance/Purchasing

The Purchasing Department collaborates with every department to ensure that the purchase and administration of College products and services are acquired in accordance with policy. Elmira College participates in cooperatives in order to receive the best products at the best price available. Purchases in excess of $25,000 require three bids while purchases in excess of $125,000 require a formal bid from a vendor. The specification to all bids will be posted on Elmira College's Bidnet page.

Bursar/Accounts Receivable

The Bursar manages and oversees the operation of student, faculty, and staff accounts, while also providing leadership for tuition and fee structure, financial aid resources, billing and accounts receivable, petty cash, and payments. 

Accounts Payable

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for collaborating with various departments and oversees the day-to-day financial transactions including purchase orders, corporate credit card reconciliations, check requests, and codes them to ensure proper expenditures in the finance system.

Finance/Accounting

The Finance department focuses on planning and directing the financial transactions for Elmira College. The finance department prepares budgets and analyses trends for the primary purpose of making financial decision. Recording and reporting on the transactions is the task of the accountants.
