Dear Elmira College Community,
On behalf of the Presidential Search Committee, I extend my best wishes as the Fall Term concludes and we approach the Holiday Break. Before we step away, I’d like to share an update on the search process.
We are delighted to be partnering with WittKieffer on this important endeavor. Over the past few weeks, their team has met with the search committee and campus stakeholders. These conversations have been dynamic and insightful, and I’m deeply grateful for the generous engagement from the Elmira community. After the New Year, additional discussions will include student and alumni representatives.
We are especially encouraged by the strong consensus around the qualities we seek in our next president. At the top of the list is a leader who can sustain Elmira’s positive momentum in enrollment and fundraising, building on recent successes to achieve even greater gains. Other priorities include honoring and enthusiastically participating in our cherished traditions, serving as a dynamic, visible, and charismatic presence, and guiding our campus with transparency, collaborative leadership, and emotional intelligence.
Shortly after the New Year, we will officially launch the search and invite talented leaders to explore this exciting opportunity.
