Dear Elmira College Community,
I hope this message finds you well and that you are enjoying the beautiful spring weather as we approach the end of the academic year—an exciting time filled with celebrations of our students, faculty, and staff.
I wanted to share an update on the ongoing Presidential Search, which continues to move forward according to plan. The search committee has just completed a thorough review of a pool of more than 90 candidates, carefully considering each person’s qualifications, experiences, and alignment with our leadership profile. After thoughtful and in-depth discussions, the committee invited a subset of exceptionally talented leaders to participate in first round of interviews.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to the committee for their dedication and the thoughtful approach they have brought to this important responsibility. Our partners at WittKieffer have noted how impressed they were by the committee’s respectful deliberations and the genuine commitment shown by every member to ensuring the campus community’s priorities were at the heart of the process.
The next step will be for the search committee to conduct interviews with the selected candidates. We are looking forward to these conversations, the opportunity to get to know the candidates better, and to share with them the many stories, achievements, and people that make Elmira College such a special place.
