In October 2025, Elmira College president, Dr. Charles W. Lindsay, announced his plan to retire at the conclusion of the 2025-2026 academic year. The College's Board of Trustees are scheduled to meet for their regular fall meeting on Saturday, November 1, after which information on the presidential search will be shared. On-going updates on the search process, including the search committee, leadership profile, timeline, and opportunities for the EC community to participate in the search process as well as celebrations for Dr. Lindsay, will be shared on this page.
The 16th President of Elmira College will support the mission of Elmira College as they lead the College into its next phase of growth and innovation. A full leadership profile will be shared once finalized.
