On June 16, 2026, the Elmira College Board of Trustees announced the appointment of Dr. John F. Dolan as the College’s sixteenth president, effective July 1, 2026. Dolan succeeds Dr. Charles W. Lindsay, who will retire on June 30 after nearly a decade of distinguished leadership. Lindsay announced his plans to retire in October 2025 at the conclusion of the 2025-2026 academic year.
