Elmira College, the first college to offer a comprehensive curriculum for women, and home of the Center for Mark Twain Studies, is a small, well-established, residential, liberal arts college in a pleasant community in the Finger Lakes region of New York State (county population 100,000).

The Elmira College in Elmira, NY, is seeking an experienced part-time adjunct faculty member to teach, advise, and assist undergraduate accounting, finance, and/or management courses in the Business & Economics Division.

This adjunct part-time faculty/advisor member will also be responsible for the following:

  • Lead, teach and mentor students within the accounting, finance, and/or management curriculum, advise students, and participate in college, department, and community service activities.
  • Work with diverse populations and support the values and mission of Elmira College.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MBA and several years of relevant work experience.
  • D.B.A. or Ph.D. in business administration is highly desirable.
  • Certifications or relevant designations are desirable, such as chartered financial analyst (CFA), certified financial planner (CFP), certified management accounting (CMA), and/or certified public accountant (CPA).
  • A positive and supportive attitude with students, colleagues, and regional and national community stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, organizational and time management skills.
