Adjunct Instructors for Theatre Program
Elmira College is a private liberal arts College located in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Elmira College was the first college to offer a comprehensive curriculum for women, and is home of the Center for Mark Twain Studies.
The Elmira College Theatre Program offers a major and a minor in theatre. Our Facilities include a 400 seat proscenium and a 120 seat flexible theatre, a rehearsal hall and a dance studio. We produce two shows per year, one play and one musical.
The Elmira College Theatre Program is creating a pool of qualified part-time lecturers for various courses for the 2026-2027 academic year and beyond. The ideal candidate will have extensive professional experience in their field, an aptitude for working with young people from varied backgrounds, and a bachelor's degree. College teaching experience is preferred.
Courses that may be available in the future depending on program need include but are not limited to*:
*We are also seeking candidates for potential directing positions; we produce one play and one musical per school year.
COMPENSATION: $900/credit
This position is non-benefit eligible.
