Six Students Inducted Into Omicron Delta Kappa National Honor Society

Leaders of the Elmira College Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, inducted six students into the Society on February 7.

The Society recognizes achievement in scholarship, athletics, campus or community service, social and religious activities, campus government – journalism, speech, and the mass media – and the creative and performing arts. Emphasis is placed on the development of the whole person as a member of the College community and as a contributor to a better society.

Omicron Delta Kappa was founded on December 3, 1914, at Washington and Lee University, Lexington, Virginia. The Elmira College circle was established on May 21, 1995. Sydney Stringham ’19, MSEd ’21, MS ’23, Director of Alumni Engagement, and Dr. Samantha Bidwell, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, advise the honor society.
