Call For Recipes For Elmira College Cookbook Fundraiser

The Elmira College Student Alumni Council has a goal of raising funds to place water-bottle filling stations across the EC campus. They’ve raised enough to add stations to Columbia, Anderson, and Perry Halls. However, to complete their goal of adding stations across the campus, they need to raise additional funds.

As a way to raise the funds, the Council is launching a fundraiser that not only aids them in reaching their project goal but also celebrates the EC community: an Elmira College Cookbook.

Students, faculty, and alumni interested in contributing can share their favorite recipes to be featured in the cookbook. Once the recipes are collected and the cookbook is put together, the Student Alumni Council will make copies available for purchase. Details about where and how to purchase the cookbook will be announced in the future..

If you have a must-share recipe, make sure you submit it using this Google Form by October 8. Multiple recipes are welcome, but submit one recipe per form submission. Each recipe submitted should include the title of the recipe, a description of the item, the preparation and cook time, as well as step-by-step instructions.

The recipe doesn’t have to be a “yours original.” However, if the recipe comes from a favorite cookbook or other source, be sure to give the source credit.

“Just as every person leaves their mark on Elmira College, the College leaves its mark on each of us,” said Rachel Hevey ’26, a Biology major and President of the Student Alumni Council. “This cookbook will honor that shared connection, celebrating the flavors and stories that unite us—whether you're a student, staff member, or alum.”
