Students, Faculty, and Administrators Honored at 2025 Award Banquet

Student Association President Gabriella Swift '26 presented Penny Appenzellar with the Administrator of the Year Award.

The Elmira College Academic Honors and Student Recognition Celebration, held March 27, recognized students, administrators, and faculty for exceptional achievement during their time at Elmira College.

“Today, you are being recognized for living the Elmira College mission in an exceptional way as outstanding active learners, effective leaders, responsible community members, and engaged citizens,” said Dr. Patricia Ireland, Provost, during the celebration. “We honor your zeal for learning, service to the College, and strength of character. As you have fully engaged in college life, so we are confident you will do the same in life beyond college.”

FACULTY & ADMINISTRATOR AWARDS

Dr. Corey Stilts, Associate Professor of Chemistry and Mathematics and Natural Sciences Chair, was awarded the Student Association Faculty Appreciation Award, which is selected by students for excellence in the teaching profession, interaction with students, and contribution to the quality of the College.

Penelope Appenzeller, Director of Financial Aid, was awarded the Student Association Administrator of the Year Award. The Award is selected by students and presented to an Elmira College administrator who demonstrates enthusiasm and devotion to the job, the College, and to the growth and development of student individuality and responsibility, which through daily actions during the past year has promoted policies and procedures that have been responsive to the needs of students and for the welfare of the College.
