The Elmira College Rho Mu Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education recently inducted 19 members from Education and Speech and Language Disabilities majors into the honor society.

Dr. Eric Knolles, Superintendent of Waverly Central School District, provided remarks during the ceremony.

"As a community, we are really proud of your work ethic and your achievements," he said. "We're depending on you to help us grow our children. Remember that everything that's worth it will have barriers and obstacles. That's where courage comes into play."

"I want to congratulate you today and wish you good luck" he continued. "I'm proud of what you guys have been able to accomplish at Elmira College. When you come into our schools, we know where you're from. We appreciate your program and how solid it is. Continue to do that good work!"

Kappa Delta Pi was founded in 1911 to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to working in K-12 schools. For over a century, the society has welcomed new scholars, and its initiated membership now exceeds 1.2 million. The Rho Mu Chapter originated at Elmira College in 1988.
