Each year the Elmira College Nurse Education Faculty Recognition for Excellence in Nursing is presented to an outstanding graduating senior nursing student that represents the profession of nursing. He or she has actively participated in the Nurse Education Program, such as, serving as a student representative with the standing committees, ad hoc committee, and/or active involvement in the Nursing Club of Elmira College. This year's recipient is Zoya Katta '21.
"This award represents excellence in the profession of nursing, in which I am sincerely honored to be recognized," states Katta. "Developing into a compassionate, hard-working, professional Registered Nurse has been a long-term goal of mine. I am very grateful for the nursing program which provided me the lessons in order to achieve that goal."
