Each year, the Elmira College Board of Trustees Prize is presented by the Trustees to students whose college experience demonstrates continual growth and development academically, socially, or in service to the College community. This year three students were awarded the Prize and today we feature Taylor Hanson '21.

"To me, winning the Board of Trustees Prize means that all of my hard work has not gone unrecognized," says Hanson. "Giving back to the EC community has always been an objective of mine, especially considering the unparalleled education and lifetime of memories this institution has given me! I am very grateful for this award."

Hanson is a member and captain of the women's soccer team and also a member of the residence life staff as a senior resident assistant.

Amanda Osborne, assistant director of residence life says, "Taylor Hanson is an amazing graduating senior who is beyond deserving of any award. Taylor is an individual who goes above and beyond to help everyone around her and to make not only the college but the world a better place."

Hanson's coach, Greg Margolis adds, "Taylor has made an incredible impact on this campus, by contributing at a high-level in various roles. She represents the best of what Elmira College can be and has been a great leader as one of my captain's for the women's soccer program during such a tumultuous year."
