The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) will hold an environmental justice (EJ) listening session at Elmira College on March 17, the evening before the EC Climate Teach-In. The public are invited to attend. Register for the event
This event will support and enhance meaningful engagement with communities with EJ concerns. The event supports DEC’s ongoing efforts to promote and enhance the existing New York State Environmental Justice Programs to better serve communities, build relationships between the agency and community members, and help prioritize future outreach efforts for public participation.
The Elmira listening session will be held in Stephans Lounge, Meier Hall.
