What to Expect During Your Visit

Grab your comfortable shoes because you will see almost every corner of Elmira’s beautiful, green campus. Elmira College Gold Keys will guide you, making sure to stop at all the important spots, including residence halls, dining facilities, and classrooms. You’ll see where students gather to study and hang out. During your visit, you’ll hear about life on campus and even a little bit of the College’s rich history. And if you’re interested in hearing or seeing something specific like the augmented reality sandbox in the environmental science center,  or our state-of-the-art Nursing facility, just ask!

The region offers opportunities for skiing, golfing, hiking, water sports, bike touring, museums, restaurants, and wineries. Favorite local destinations include Clemens Center for the Performing Arts, Corning Museum of Glass, hiking trails at Watkins Glen State Park, Seneca Lake Wine Trail, National Soaring Museum, and Tanglewood Nature Center.  And don’t forget to take time to visit the Mark Twain Study, located on EC’s campus, where the famous author penned some of his most iconic novels like The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.
