Internships & Opportunities
After three years of coursework at EC, you'll spend your fourth year (“+1” year) training at one of our clinical affiliate hospitals before earning your EC degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
This clinical year takes the place of the required internship for graduation and includes hands-on training in many of the specialty areas of Medical laboratory science, including hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and blood banking. Our four clinical affiliate sites include Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania; UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown, New York; New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York; and Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, New York.
