After three years of coursework at EC, you'll spend your fourth year (“+1” year) training at one of our clinical affiliate hospitals before earning your EC degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences.

This clinical year takes the place of the required internship for graduation and includes hands-on training in many of the specialty areas of clinical laboratory science, including hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and blood banking. Our four clinical affiliate sites include Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania; UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown, New York; New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York; and Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, New York. Honor Societies

Beta Beta Beta

Tri-Beta is the National Biology Honor Society dedicated to supporting students in their research endeavors in the biological sciences. Elmira College students present the results of their research at regional and national conferences. Elmira College has also hosted the regional conference where students present talks and posters detailing their research findings.
