Learning Outcomes

Students who successfully complete the Finance major will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of valuation theories and principles, and apply them in financial analysis.
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of the structure of financial statements, and the ability to analyze them.
  3. Demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between return and risk, and the ability to calculate and compare returns and risks for different investment vehicles.
  4. Utilize data resources and computer software for data analysis.
  5. Communicate orally and in writing about business topics.
  6. Function effectively as team members.
