FASHION MARKETING

What is fashion marketing? What can you do with a minor or concentration in fashion marketing? If you're into marketing campaigns, thinking about demographics, how to position a product and you love fashion, then this is an ideal course of study for you. Fashion marketing is about learning to promote fashion products to the right people at the right time. You'll get to know how to use market research to target promotions, from online campaigns to big events.

Course Offerings

The Tommy Hilfiger Fashion Business School within Elmira College's business administration program will teach you specific marketing and merchandising skills for the operations of the fashion industry while teaching you to think strategically, analyze data, communicate effectively and think globally and multi-culturally. You will work with experienced academic and industry professionals, combined with cutting-edge educational methods and small class sizes. And with our emphasis on experiential learning, you will gain real-world fashion experience through internships, field trips, site visits and on-site consulting projects.

In addition to completing the Business Core, students must choose at least one concentration and complete 15.0 credits of electives at the 3000 level or higher. A maximum of two concentrations can be declared. No course can count for multiple concentrations. A course used to satisfy the Core cannot also be used to complete a concentration.

Can I graduate within four years?

Yes. Students beginning the program in Fall 2021 may complete the program in four years. Beginning in Fall 2022, the Tommy Hilfiger Fashion Business School curriculum is designed to allow students to complete their courses within three years, giving students the opportunity to study abroad through Elmira College's graduate school partnerships with schools such as Regents University London, transition into a graduate program, or begin working in the fashion industry.
