Elmira College Presents Term II Musical on April 5, 6, and 7The Elmira College Theatre Program and Elmira Little Theatre (ELT) will present the musical A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, in their most recent collaboration. The public is invited to attend on April 5 and April 6, at 7:30 p.m. and on April 7 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gibson Theatre of Emerson Hall on the Elmira College campus.

Tickets for the performance at Elmira College are available for pre-purchase online or available at the door via cash or credit card. EC students/employees and children 12 and under attend for free, but must have a ticket reservation. Proceeds from the April 5-7 on-campus shows will support Elmira College and Elmira Little Theatre.

“This collaboration between EC Theatre and Elmira Little Theatre provides enhanced learning opportunities for our students, aligns with EC’s Mission and strategic goals of community engagement, invites our organizations to better share resources, and increases the visibility for both of our brands,” shared Rebecca Rich, Director of the Elmira College Theatre Program. “It’s a win-win for everyone, and especially the communities of Elmira/Corning and the Southern Tier!”

A Gentleman’s Guide is a family-friendly show that follows the story of Monty Navarro. Navarro is eighth in line for earldom but has little chance of outliving his predecessors and obtaining the prestigious title. His solution is murder, but in creative and hysterical ways. The audience will have to find out if Navarro can succeed without being caught and if he will find love along the way.

"The show is hilarious,” agreed Rich. “With over 40 people involved in the production, our combined community is incredibly strong. The time and talent invested in bringing every bit of comedy possible onto the stage is outstanding.”

The EC cast members include Joyanna Lynn ’27, Allenmichael Borasky ’27, Riley Ann “Lee” Maras ’27, and alumna Rachael Patten ’17.

"It is such a treat to work with this cast,” said Lynn. “We are diverse in our life experiences but unified in our silliness, and each rehearsal has been full of laughter."
