Favorite thing about Elmira College:
THE PEOPLE. I love the campus community. I cherish getting to talk with the students both personally and professionally. I love seeing their faces light up after you tell them what a great game they had or high-fiving them after getting that grade they worked so hard for. Whether it's staying late to make sure they are okay, pushing their car to help get it jumped, or just shooting the breeze in Starbucks proves how caring the community really is. I also can't say enough about the camaraderie among faculty, staff, and administrators. The community is why I chose to stay at EC after completing my Master's degree and I am honored to be a part of it.
Most frequently asked question about Financial Aid:
Q: Besides tuition and fees, room and board, what else should I include in a budget for the school year, and how can I stay on track?
A: It's important to make sure you have enough money in addition to your financial aid to cover tuition and fees, and living expenses, but there are other expenses that make up the entire cost of attending college. Be sure to also budget for textbooks and supplies, transportation, travel to and from home during breaks, and emergencies. In some cases, you might also be required to purchase certain supplies specific to your major that might not be listed in the overall estimate for the cost of attendance.

Favorite thing about Elmira College:
I completed my undergraduate degree in Secondary Education Mathematics with an extension in Middle School in 2007. I then continued on with my education and received a Master of Science in Education: Corporate and Community Education in 2011, a Master of Science: General Management in 2016, and finally a Master of Science: Health Service Management in 2020. I love to learn new things and have the ability to apply them in the real world. I have loved working at Elmira College in my different positions and am excited that I get to continue to work with students and families. Bring on the Purple and Gold!!!!
Most frequently asked question about Financial Aid:
Q: My Financial Aid package says I was awarded FWS (Federal Work Study) or CWA (College Work Aid). How do I find a job, and can this be applied towards my tuition?
A: For assistance with finding a position on campus, contact the Center for Academic & Professional Excellence (CAPE) at 607-735-1830 or by emailing them at eccareers@elmira.edu. They will provide a list of departments that are looking for student employees. Once you find a position on campus, you can have your paycheck directly applied to your bill if you would like.

Most frequently asked question about Financial Aid:
Q: Should I complete the FAFSA even if I don't think I will qualify for aid?
A: Yes. Everyone should go to studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa and complete the FAFSA. At Elmira College, we use the FAFSA to determine your college aid as well as State and Federal aid.
