Elmira College is a private liberal arts College located in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Elmira College was the first college to offer a comprehensive curriculum for women, and is home of the Center for Mark Twain Studies. We are seeking an HVAC Technician to join the Facilities team.
The HVAC Technician is responsible for the daily operation of both the heating and cooling systems at Elmira College and other locations or buildings owned or operated by Elmira College. This is a full-time, first shift, Monday – Friday position, with rotating on-call schedule which may result in occasional overtime on nights or weekends.

COMPENSATION: $24-$26 per hour
This position is benefit eligible.
STATUS: Non-exempt
WORKING CONDITIONS
HVAC Technicians will work in all weather conditions inside and outside all year round. Work performed will take place in a Campus environment which includes offices, classrooms, and residential areas (dorms and common areas). Will work directly around chemicals, dust, and fumes, along with hot surfaces and high voltage power. Ability to walk, stand, push, pull, reach, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, finger dexterity, and read instructions, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
