Elmira College is a private liberal arts College located in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Elmira College was the first college to offer a comprehensive curriculum for women, and is home of the Center for Mark Twain Studies. We are seeking a Director of Graduate & Professional Programs and Academic Partnerships join the Graduate & Professional Programs team.

The Director of Graduate & Professional Programs and Academic Partnerships is responsible for supervising, launching, and coordinating graduate and professional degree and non-degree continuing education programs, as well as developing and stewarding articulations with business, institutional, and educational partners. A key component of the Director’s role is to provide leadership in the development and expansion of graduate and professional programs in response to industry and community needs and to collaborate with faculty members in developing graduate programs of study and educational partnerships.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Facilitate the development of a long-range strategic plan for developing graduate and professional degree and continuing education programs that are responsive to the needs of the community;
  • Identify and develop educational partnerships across businesses, institutions, colleges, and universities.
  • Collaborate with and support faculty who initiate articulations with administrative support, launching the partnerships, and stewarding them;
  • Develop degree maps and pathways for articulations and partnerships;
  • Participate in graduate recruitment activities and facilitate participation of other faculty members in recruitment activities;
  • Oversee hiring of faculty and the admissions process and advisement for graduate students;
  • Coordinate with faculty to gather, maintain, and facilitate analysis of data for graduate and continuing education programs and provide institutional reports at regular intervals;
  • Communicate with and oversee the work of the Teacher Education Placement Coordinator and the Administrative Coordinator of Teacher Education;
  • Supervise the Coordinator of Professional Programs, who serves as Graduate and Continuing Education admissions counselor, NC-SARA administrator, and graduate students’ advisor;
  • Work collaboratively with the College’s Instructional Designer on Technology Enhanced Instruction (TEI) and maintain the academic integrity of online, hybrid, and in-person courses; and
  • Provide program assessment for graduate and professional studies programs;

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctoral degree (or ABD)
  • Minimum of three years in higher education teaching and/or administration

WORK LOCATION: On-site

COMPENSATION: $75,000-$80,000 annually

This position is benefit eligible.
