Tanya Gabrielian

Hailed by the London Times as “a pianist of powerful physical and imaginative muscle,” Gabrielian combines emotional vulnerability with commanding strength, captivating audiences worldwide with her gripping performances. Gabrielian rose to international acclaim with first prizes in the Scottish International Piano Competition, and the Aram Khachaturyan International Piano Competition. Further, Gabrielian’s Southbank debut recital in the Purcell Room in London, was chosen as “Performance of the Year” by Seen and Heard International. Highlights for the 2012-2013 season include performances at the Sydney Opera House with the Sydney Symphony, Washington International Piano Festival, Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, and the Bozeman Symphony Piano Series. Gabrielian holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Royal Academy of Music and earned the DipRAM, the highest performing award of the Academy.
