International Students are required to submit the following information to complete their application for admission to Elmira College: (Please provide these materials in English if at all possible.  This will speed up your application review process.)

  • A completed Application for Admission, including a college essay. We accept the online Common Application or the Elmira College Application.
  • Official TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, or PTE exam results for non-native English speakers
  • Official transcripts of completed coursework in secondary schools or at the university level
  • At least one letter of recommendation from an instructor or an academic counselor
  • The International Student Financial Assistance Application, if you are applying for need-based financial aid from Elmira College

Once you have been accepted and decide that Elmira College is the best college for you, submit the following information to assist us in providing you with the materials necessary for you to secure your F-1 student visa from the United States Government:

  • Return your completed Enrollment Confirmation Card along with a non-refundable $450 enrollment deposit and orientation fee
  • Next, you will receive your I-20 and original acceptance and financial aid paperwork from Elmira College, you can then make your visa interview appointment at a US Consulate Office
  • Make your travel plans and share them with the Office of Admissions
