Why Should I Choose Clinical Laboratory Sciences?

The EC CLS 3+1 degree program prepares you to become a clinical laboratory scientist, medical laboratory scientist, or a medical technologist – jobs that are in very high demand worldwide.

What Will I Learn Through Clinical Laboratory Sciences?

The EC CLS 3+1 major is similar to a Biology or Biochemistry major (with courses in cell and molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, immunology, anatomy, and physiology), with the coursework completed in three years and the fourth year spent training in hospital laboratories at one of our clinical affiliate sites in Rochester, Sayre, Jamestown, or Brooklyn. Following the clinical year, students may opt to take the ASCP licensing exam.
