How to Apply

Our programs are designed for students who have completed a bachelor's degree or for working professionals who are ready to add an advanced degree or coursework for professional development. We offer rolling admissions, which means students may submit an application anytime for the fall, winter, spring, or summer terms. Students may choose to apply for a master’s degree, an advanced certificate, or a non-degree study program.

Master’s Degrees at Elmira

Get to know our Master in Science degree programs (M.S. or M.S.Ed.). These graduate degree programs consist of 10 to 12 courses totaling 30 to 36 semester credits. At the end of the program, students will participate in a hands-on capstone experience through their graduate seminar course. In this final course, case studies, simulations, group projects, and problem-based learning are integrated with classroom lectures and presentations.

Enhance Your Professional Knowledge

If you do not wish to pursue a graduate degree but still seek to increase your knowledge and improve your skills, you can choose to earn an advanced certificate or take courses through non-degree study.

Advanced Certificate

Earning an advanced certificate will deepen your professional learning. Students in the advanced certificate program need to complete only 15 credits with a minimum GPA of 3.0 to receive certification. And if you decide to continue your graduate studies and pursue a master’s degree, the credits may be carried over.

Non-Degree Study

Interested in professional development or personal enrichment? Elmira offers the opportunity to take graduate-level classes without pursuing a degree. If you decide to earn a graduate degree, the credits earned in non-degree study will apply toward your chosen master’s program.
