The Elmira College Office of Career Services invites students, alumni and community members to a Health Professions Panel on Thursday, November 9, 2017, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. in Room 206, Cowles Hall at Elmira College.  

The Panel, offered as part of Health Professions Week 2017, offers a look into the various careers found within the health industry.  Panelists will share their education and career path, from 12:00-12:30 p.m., and be available to answer questions for those looking to enter or move within the health industry.  From 12:30-1:00 p.m., attendees are encouraged to visit with panelists to network and learn more about career options.

Elmira College offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs for those interested in a career in health, including pre-med, pre-dental, pre-occupational therapy, pre-physical therapy, pre-pharmacy, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a Master of Science in Health Services Management.  Online non-credit health courses are also available, such as pharmacy technician, clinical medical assistant, electronic health record management, dialysis technician program, ECG/EKG course for nurses, and Spanish for medical professionals. Information on these programs will be available at the event.

Health Professions Week is a collaborative effort sponsored by the organizations that promote health profession education.  The 2017 observance includes special activities and programs each day, Monday, November 6 – Friday, November 10.  For more information on Health Professions Week, visit explorehealthcareers.org/hpw.
