Dr. Myra Glenn

Dr. Myra Glenn, Professor of American History, is set to publish her fourth book, a study of the life and autobiography of Dr. Harriot Kezia Hunt [1805-1875], the pioneering Boston physician and women's rights advocate.

The news of the upcoming book follows Dr. Glenn’s attendance at the annual meeting of the Society for Historians of the Early Republic in Philadelphia.

During the annual meeting, Dr. Glenn networked with fellow scholars and attended a number of sessions, including "The Art and Practice of Biography," "Female Citizenship and the Life of the Mind in Antebellum America," and "Alternative Medicine and Changing Conceptions of the Human Body in Nineteenth Century America."
