Student Volunteering and Community Service

April 20 2017
Category: Campus Life

April is National Volunteer Month, and to celebrate we are looking back at a handful of student-lead community service events and projects. In fact, in the 2015-2016 academic year, EC students completed 15,780 hours of community service throughout the Southern Tier Region.

Students have volunteered and made donations to organizations including the American Red Cross, Chemung County SPCA, Children’s’ Miracle Network, and Habitat for Humanity, as well as local events like the Wineglass Marathon and the Annual Elmira Street Painting Festival.

Thank you to all of our students for sharing your time, help, and talents with the Elmira community.
