Pre-Graduate School Internship

The Pre-Graduate School Internship is an alternative to the general internship requirement designed for students who plan to attend graduate school directly after completion of their undergraduate degree. Under the supervision of an Elmira College faculty member, this internship is intended to prepare students for the rigorous academic responsibilities expected at the graduate level. The student is responsible for designing a project related to graduate school goals, with the assistance of a faculty supervisor. Projects may vary from research in Chemistry or Biology to the compilation of original artwork resulting in portfolio development to a thesis on a historical, literary, or philosophical subject. Students are expected to view this internship alternative as a graduate level experience, and will be evaluated on the same level.
