Who should I see if I decide to leave Elmira College?

A fair and equitable refund policy has been established by Elmira College (see Charges and Expenses on page 212 of the College Bulletin) for students who withdraw at any time prior to completing degree requirements. Students must follow the withdrawal procedure outlined below in order to benefit from the refund policy.

Any student withdrawing from the College must schedule an exit interview with a college representative by contacting the Office of Student Life, McGraw Hall, (607) 735-1806. The interviewer will assist the student by reviewing his or her need to contact academic, business, financial or other areas of the College for clearance.

The student will be eligible to receive refunds or transcripts as outlined in the Bulletin
only when: (1) exit interview is completed, (2) residence hall room is vacated, (3) student I.D. card is submitted (to the Office of Student Life or in the case of dorm students,
to the Residence Life Coordinator). An interview record will remain filed in the Office of Student Life to indicate the student’s change in status. A DECISION NOT TO ATTEND CLASSES DOES NOT CONSTlTUTE WITHDRAWAL FROM A COURSE OR THE COLLEGE. Students who withdraw from Elmira College must apply to the Office of Admissions for readmission, 800-935-6472.
