EC Offers Summer Program for High School Students

Elmira College’s Office of Continuing Education is proudly introduce a new, two-week residential Summer Education Experience at Elmira College (SEE EC). SEE EC is an opportunity for high school students to experience college life and take college-level courses, taught by EC full-time faculty, while living in a diverse campus environment. The College is offering five courses in a variety of different fields designed for pre-college students. Each student will enroll in one 3-credit hour course.

SEE EC is for rising academically prepared high school students who have completed their freshman, sophomore, or junior year in high school. Students who have just completed their senior year are also eligible. A key component of this program is a focus on College Success Skills that will help to better prepare the attendees for a successful transition to college when the time comes. Additionally, the program includes many fun activities, including four off-campus excursions. All activities, transportation, and fees are included in the affordable program cost.

This program will give participants an experience of what college life is like, allow them to explore academic areas of interest, and help them to develop early strategies, both academically and personally, to be successful.
