Elmira College is accepting applications for a Campus Security Officer. This position is part-time with main duties that include: promoting lawful behavior, performing foot and vehicle patrols, securing buildings and property, investigating disturbances, maintaining order during campus events, working cooperatively with local law enforcement as necessary as well as working with other departments on campus.
The requirements of this position are: High school diploma or GED, good organizational/communication skills, ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, ability to work independently, ability to work as a punctual, dependable, team player, and a valid driver’s license. A New York State Security Guard License is preferred, but not required.
Elmira College may require a criminal background and drug screening prior to employment.
