Katrina Heterbring joins the Elmira College coaching staff for her
first season as the Assistant Women’s Field Hockey
Coach and Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach. Heterbring,
a 2011 graduate of the American International College, played four
seasons of field hockey and one year of lacrosse during her time
with the Yellow Jackets.
Heterbring owns several conference and school records in field
hockey. She appeared in the North-South Division II Field Hockey
All-Star Senior game. She finished with a NFHCA defensive saves
record in 2009. Heterbring is also the AIC career and single-season
leader in defensive saves (20). A lock down defender and two-time
captain, she holds the record for most minutes played (5,390
minutes played/78 games started). Heterbring also led the team to
the Northeast 10 Conference Playoffs, when the program was the
third-ranked team in NCAA Division II.
In 2008 and 2010 Heterbring served as a field hockey selection
committee member for the Empire State Games. In 2007 she also
served as a skills instructor at the Iroquois high school field
hockey camp. When she isn’t competing or evaluating
talent, Heterbring can be seen out in the community raising money
and awareness for breast cancer through the Susan B Komen
Foundation.
Heterbring is pursuing a Master’s degree in General
Management at Elmira College.
