Amber Myers-Fleming enters her fourth year as the Head
Cheerleading Coach at Elmira after cheering on the nationally
ranked Slippery Rock University cheerleading squad. In her first
year with the program Myers-Fleming led the Soaring Eagles to its
second NCA Division II National Championship.
Myers-Fleming is a former Elite Cheerleading instructor and has
also done work for the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA). In
2005, Myers-Fleming received a Bachelor's Degree in Business
Administration from Slippery Rock University. Myers-Fleming is
originally from Pittsburgh, PA where she has also coached and
choreographed for various high schools and organizations in the
area.
Along with her coaching responsibilities, Myers-Fleming is pursuing
her master's degree in Business Management at Elmira College.
Megan Barcomb ’08 enters
her second year as Assistant Varsity
Cheerleading Coach and Head Junior Varsity Cheerleading Coach.
Barcomb, who earned a S.B. in Childhood Education,
Social Studies, and Psychology, served as a four-year varsity
cheerleader for the College’s competition team.
During her tenure with the squad the Soaring Eagles
captured the 2007 National Cheerleading Association Division II
National Championship.
While attending Elmira College Barcomb was a member of the Gold Key
Society, the Kappa Delta Pi Education National Honor Society, and
the Psi Chi Psychology National Honor Society. In
2007, she was honored with the Iris Leadership Award, an annual
award given to a member of the graduating class who exhibits
leadership qualities and makes significant contributions to the
College.
Coach Barcomb, a native of Schenectady, NY, will also pursue a
masters of education in Literacy.
