Elmira, NY – The Elmira College Women’s
Soccer Team entered Campus Field Saturday afternoon for the first
time in the ’09 season and came out 2-1 winners over
Keuka College. The Soaring Eagles came out as the aggressors in the
first half by scoring the first two goals of the contest. Keuka
College, however, came alive in the second half, firing 9 shots,
but the 2-0 deficit was too large to overcome.
Appearing in her first collegiate game,
Rachael Bromson ’13 (Suffield, CT --
Suffield) sparked the Soaring Eagles offense and scored
the opening goal in the thirty first minute of play off of a
Danielle Corjulo ’11 (Southington, CT --
Southington) assist.
Kaitlin Borrelli ’10 (New Canaan, CT -- New
Canaan) put the ball in the back of the net in the forty
ninth minute to put EC up 2-0 in the second half. Assisting on the
score was
Bromson.
Also starring for the Soaring Eagles, Goalie
Karissa Wilson ’12 (Londonderry, NH --
Londonderry) logged 82 minutes in net and produced 4
saves.

Kelsey Kiel ’13 (Bryn Athyn, PA -- Academy of
the New Church),
Tori Simeone ’13 (Newton, NJ -- Kittatinny

Ellie Hamilton ’13 (Victor, NY --

Kristyn O’Rourke ’13 (Beaver Dams,
NY -- Corning East),
Alexis Moody ’13 (Naugatuck, CT --
Naugatuck), and
Caitlin Eno ’13 (Attleboro, MA --
Attleboro) all saw their first collegiate soccer action
Saturday afternoon.
For the Storm, Alyssa Hermenet tallied an unassisted goal in the
eighty third minute, and Goalie Ashley Vail recorded 4 saves.
